Costa Rica
The last two summers I have been able to minister to the people
of Costa Rica with an organization called
Global Expeditions, a part of Teen Mania Ministries. For more than
15 years, they have taken thousands of teenagers to countries all over
the world. These trips have really changed my life. I have been accepted
to return again in the summer of 2004.
Global Expeditions is a ministry totally dedicated to reaching
my generation and equipping us to touch the world through missions.
I cannot think of a better way to spend my time than sharing the
Gospel of Jesus Christ with others and seeing my life changed as
well. The last two trips really made me thankful for America but
it also made me realize that how much everyone needs Jesus.
Costa Rica is located in Latin America where my team was
based out of the city of San José. Throughout the entire trip, I
ministered to the people of Costa Rica through drama
and street evangelism as well as back yard bible clubs, teaching
in their schools and playing soccer! (They are really good at soccer
or rather “football.”) I talked to many young people my
age about Jesus (through a translator though).
