Fire Sticks

Firesticks are the character traits we develop to fuel the fire of God in our hearts. These are the things we want to be known for. Business people would call them "core values" - but, like, how boring is that!?!

FIRESTICKs

Faith We live by faith. We hear, meditate, and act on the Word of God as supreme and final authority in our personal lives and ministry. We are rooted and grounded in prayer through the Holy Spirit and intimacy with Father God, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, which produces victory in every area of our lives and ministry. Romans 10:17, James 1:22, I John 5:4, Romans 3:22, Hebrews 12:2, II Corinthians 5:7, Romans 1:16-17

Integrity We always strive to keep our conscience clear before God and man. We walk in integrity. We keep our word. We are on time. We can be trusted and are found faithful to represent Christ in all things. We love mercy and walk humbly with our God, serving His people with purity of heart, mind, and action. Psalm 15:1-5, Psalm 26:1-3, Proverbs 11:3,5, Micah 6:8, Luke 16:10, Acts 24:16, Daniel 1:8, Acts 24:16

Commitment We will not compromise the ministry that God has given us. We can be trusted to fulfill the responsibilities that are committed to us because our hearts are fully committed to God. We will not neglect the gifts that are in us, but will make them available for the ministry of reconciliation. We will show our commitment to God and each other by developing and maintaining proper relationships, honoring and preferring one another above self, keeping a servant’s attitude in all things. I Timothy 4:14, I Kings 8:61, II Corinthians 5:19, Romans 12:10, I Thessalonians 5:13

Excellence We add to our faith the spirit of excellence; setting our standards on Biblical principles. We use whatever resources God provides to attain the goals He sets for us. We value the labor as much as the end result. We are partakers of God’s divine nature which causes us to excel in all things above what we could think or imagine. II Peter 1:4-5, Ephesians 3:20, Daniel 6:4, II Corinthians 8:7, Philippians 4:8

Accountability We make it our aim to mature and grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. We allow faith to finish its work so we may be mature and complete, receiving wisdom from God. We have clearly defined expectations and hold one another accountable to them. We walk in love at all times. We submit to authority. We set our minds on things above, doing all things in the name of Jesus and to the glory of God the Father. I Timothy 6:20, James 1:2-5, Hebrews 13:17, Luke 2:52, Colossians 3:2-17
