Setting the example…
raising the standard
Relationship – everything in the kingdom of God stems from
relationship – that’s what God has asked of us ever since the garden of
Eden. As members of the body of Christ, we are called to relationship:
relationship with Jesus…with the Father…with the Holy Spirit and with each
other in the body of Christ.
Follow my example as I follow the example of Christ (1Cor. 11:1)
God has given me a vision for the young people of this
world to rise up and truly cast off the restraints of the world’s system
and honestly live only for Jesus Christ. In a world of no moral absolutes,
it is imperative that we provide the example, the drive, and the love to
enable the young people to truly become “disciples” of Christ, not just
converts. I believe that the primary method of discipleship needs to be
by setting an example and being a part of their lives; by living the good
news with them, not just preaching to them. They need to learn the Word
of God and how to apply it to their everyday lives; to know that Truth
exists and His name is Jesus; that to know Christ is to experience His
death and resurrection and the power of His Name. It is my heartfelt
desire to see young people know the height, breadth, length and depth
of His love and allow that love to compel others to the cross.
Discipleship = educating and living out the model of
Christianity
May we pray like we’ve never prayed before and be the
ones to stand in the gap for this generation. (see Ezekiel 22:30 and
Isaiah 6:8)
